Japanese exchange students attend Wright State to study English, visit area attractions
Thirteen college exchange students from Japan will visit Wright State University for three weeks in August to study English, learn about college life in America and practice their language skills firsthand by spending a weekend with Dayton families. (07/28/2006)

Teachers improving skills so students can do better in science, math
Governor Bob Taft and Ohio legislators agree that a more rigorous core curriculum is necessary for high school students. Graduation requirements need to be strengthened in such areas as science and math to better prepare students for success in college or on the job. In a project aimed toward reaching this goal, more than 200 teachers are going to school this summer to increase their proficiency in science and mathematics education.

Human resources club at Wright State named among best in nation
The WSU Raj Soin College of Business chapter was selected among the top 10 in the nation for 2006 in competition with 430 Society for Human Resource Management student chapters. This is the second consecutive year the Wright State students placed in the nationwide top 10 and the fourth consecutive year they received a superior or higher rating. (07/10/2006)

New undergraduate degree at Wright State expected to boost enrollment in statistics
University trustees have approved the awarding of a Bachelor of Science degree in statistics. It replaces the statistics concentration available through the Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. (07/05/2006)
