March 23, 2005 Wright State to host workshop on Internet sales and marketing Small businesses often need assistance in making the Internet work for them. It’s more than simply having a Web site. Businesses need to develop and implement an Internet marketing plan that generates traffic to their site and converts that traffic into sales.The Ohio Small Business Development Center at Wright State University will sponsor “How to Get Traffic to Your Web Site and What To Do When It Gets There: The Basics of Internet Marketing,” a workshop to be held Thursday, April 14, from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Atlantis Room, E157 Student Union on the Wright State campus. Topics to be covered include: how to get quality traffic to your Web site, how to design a Web site to convert your traffic to sales and leads, simple ways to measure the performance of your Web site, how to beat your competition online and winning strategies for Internet success. Presenting the workshop is Jerry Perrich, director of the Internet Marketing Institute. The company applies traditional marketing principles to the Internet. Perrich has more than 25 years experience in business, including positions as president, vice president for business development, marketing manager and manufacturing supervisor. He is a popular speaker and the author of three books and numerous articles. The workshop cost is $45. Seating is limited.
