OSBDC at Wright State and Dayton SCORE to offer business planning workshops
The Ohio Small Business Development Center (OSBDC) at Wright State University and the Dayton Chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) are teaming up to offer monthly seminars to existing and prospective business owners to help with developing business plans and learning about available resources. Workshops are held on the third Thursday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. in 219 Rike Hall on the Wright State campus. The next workshop is Thursday, March 16.
Both OSBDC and SCORE are dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. The OSBDC provides one-on-one consultation to answer questions business owners may have. Clients may also get help from Wright State management students to write a business plan, develop human resource policies and procedures and other projects. Students from Wright State University’s Department of Management Science and Information Systems can perform systems analysis and design Web sites for clients.
Both OSBDC and SCORE are nonprofit associations dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. They provide service to the small business community, with emphasis on community involvement and significant increases in small business counseling opportunities.
The workshop cost is $25. Register by contacting the Dayton SCORE office at (937) 225-2887.
