"It's kind of fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney |
Favorite Class/Professor: My favorite professor is Dr. Nathan Klingbeil. I've have had four classes with him- EGR 101 (Math for Engineering Applications), ME 313 (Strength of Materials), and ME414 and ME415 (Mechanical Design 1 & 2). I also work for him as a teaching assistant for EGR 101. I like professors who love to teach. I can tell when someone really cares about teaching. |
Do you live on campus? It seems like I do! I am currently a commuter. I like to say that I sleep at home, because I usually leave campus between 8-10pm and return the next morning at 8am. |
What clubs or organizations are you involved in? Well, I am President of the Wright Engineering Council, Vice President of the Society of Women Engineers and the Student Honors Association. I am Treasurer of the Swing Dancing Club and Secretary of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. My experience here would not be the same without clubs. Everyone should get involved! |
Favorite thing to do on the weekends: Sleep!! I do a lot of reading and homework. I also take a break from engineering and do something else I enjoy. Teaching! I teach the preschool sunday school class at my church. |
What advice would you give a high school student about having a good experience here? Jump right in! Don't waste time. Make connections right away with your fellow students, upperclassmen and professors. Also don't forget your hobbies. It's good to have something not related to you major to clear your head. |
Why did you choose Wright State? Cost, location and the College of Engineering. |
Favorite activity: I can't pick a favorite! How about teaching, choir, swing dancing, student clubs and spending time with friends. |
