Fall 2021 Workshops

Below is a list of workshops being offered this week on Pilot and other educational technology tools.  All of the sessions are virtual, and you can register for them by clicking on the session title.  Once you click on the title, you will need to hit the button labeled "Register for this Workshop" on the ServiceNow page. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email.

Pilot Basics -  Wednesday, August 18, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.  Virtual Session
A 90-minute workshop that focuses on the essential features of Pilot, Wright State University's learning management system.

Managing Grades in Pilot - Wednesday, August 18, 1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Virtual Session
A 45-minute workshop outlining how to design a gradebook and manage your student's grades in Pilot.

Overview of Perusall - Thursday, August 19, 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.  Virtual Session
A 30-minute workshop providing an overview of Perusall, an e-textbook tool to engage students in their reading assignments. 

Fostering Student Engagement with Flipgrid - Thursday, August 19, 1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Virtual Session
A 45-minute workshop detailing how to create and use Flipgrid activities to increase student engagement in virtual settings. 

Using Webex for Online Instruction - Friday, August 20, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.  Virtual Session
A 60-minute workshop that focuses on the basic components of the Webex Pilot integration as well as how to utilize this tool for effective online instruction.

Using Respondus LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, and Turnitin - Friday, August 20, 11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.  Virtual Session
This 45-minute workshop is an introduction for instructors who plan to use Respondus LockDown Browser,  Respondus Monitor, or Turnitin to help protect academic integrity for their assessments.

Teaching with Blackboard Collaborate Ultra - Friday, August 20, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Virtual Session
A 60-minute workshop that focuses on the basic components of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra as well as how to effectively utilize this tool for online instruction.
