Course Description:
This course is designed to help teachers with little
economic education and with minimal internet literacy. The
course is designed to help teachers learn how to teach
economics using children's literature. Children’s literature
is an excellent tool to teach economics to children. When
economics is taught to children using literature they begin
to realize that economics is real and a part of the world
around them. Because children love stories, literature is a
very motivational teaching technique that can be used to
effectively teach economics. Since economics is being taught
in the context of literature, the interdisciplinary approach
will help fit teaching economic concepts into an already
overcrowded curriculum.
