Course Description:
This course is designed to link United States historical
events and economic concepts. Activities are interactive,
reflecting the belief that students learn best through
active, highly personalized experiences with economics.
Applications of economic understanding to real world
situations and context dominate the lessons. In addition,
the lessons explicitly teach the voluntary national content
standards in economics, outlined in the National Council's A
Framework for Teaching the Basic Economic Concepts. This
course will assist teachers in grades 6-12 with integrating
economic concepts into an existing United States history
curriculum.
