Telecommunications Services plans, develops, implements and administers voice, data and wireless communication solutions for WSU. They provide and service all departmental telephones and voicemail. This includes the emergency and courtesy phones as well. Telephone and network cabling infrastructures are provided and serviced for the Resident Student Halls.
Work requests and trouble calls are routed through this office and assigned to appropriate technicians.
The department is also responsible for the monthly telephone bills for all WSU Departments and resident students.
Telecommunications also houses the main console for incoming calls to the University. These calls are routed by the campus operators to the requested departments and individuals.
