Upgrading Your Monitor
CaTS generally recommends replacing your display
and computer system together so that you can take advantage of extended warranty coverage.
Displays purchased separately will come with a more limited warranty, typically one
year, and may incur shipping costs for covered repairs.
However, if you need to upgrade your display but do not need to replace the computer,
CaTS recommends the
HP line of LCD displays, listed on
the Pomeroy/HP Express Order Sheet. Pomeroy and CDW also offer discounts to the university
on a variety of displays from manufacturers such as Viewsonic, NEC and others.
