Network Services plans, implements, and administers the network equipment on both the main campus and remote campus. This group works closely with all other departments within CaTS. Network Services also provides access to the Novell file servers that deliver desktop applications including connection to the Internet. They also test a variety of software for campus use. This includes the operating systems, applications software, and specialty software. Another area of this group is the university labs which are comprised of over 500 machines in many locations around campus. The labs are used for both teaching and general purpose.
