Potential Fines and Fees
The Laptops-2-Go Laptop Loan program for Wright State students is a free service of Computing and Telecommunications Services. However, if the laptop is not returned by the designated time or if it is lost, stolen or damaged while in the possession of the student, the following fines and fees will be assessed:

Event Fine or Fee
Returned after Time Due $10/hour late fee
Not to exceed $50 for first offense
$200/maximum for repeat offense

If not returned within 24 hours,
reported as theft
Damage/Missing Components Damage of <$50 is not charged
$50 charge for damage of $50-500
$100 charge for damage > $500
Lost/Stolen $2,000 complete replacement cost
plus any accrued late fees if not reported promptly

Fees and fines are explained in the Equipment Use & Liability Agreement that must be signed before a laptop can be checked out. By signing, the student agrees to be liable for any damage, loss or theft of the equipment while in their possession. Students should thoroughly read and understand the Equipment Use and Liability Agreement before signing it.

Repeated late fees and/or damage fines may result in loss of privileges for the Laptops-2-Go services.
