| Attachments are a quick
and easy way to send a file to a remote user. From a
personal letter that is too long for e-mail, to a JPEG
image of your new car, attachments are easy to
incorporate into an e-mail message. Below are
instructions for including attachments in some common
e-mail applications (Pegasus Mail, Netscape Mail, Pine,
and Microsoft's Outlook Express). The underlying concept
is similar for most mail applications. |

| Attachments in Pine |
To attach a file to a
document in Pine, make sure the file is saved on your
UNIX account. To transfer a file to your account, you
must use FTP. Consult one of CaTS FTP documents to learn
how to use FTP.
