Start Smart Salary Negotiation Workshops for Women
According to the WAGE Project, over the course of her working life, a woman will earn $1 million less than a man simply because she is a woman.
In partnership with the WAGE Project and in collaboration with the Wright State University Women's Center and the Division of Student Affairs, Career Services offers Start Smart workshops designed to teach women negotiation techniques to achieve pay equity.

General Admission Workshops
Participate in a General Admission Workshop
Occasionally during the academic year, Career Services offers general admission Start Smart Workshops.
Availability of these workshops is posted on our Events Calendar and in The Wright Search.
Participants in Start Smart must register in advance.
The design of this program requires students to be present for the entire program period of two and a half hours.
If you are unable to attend for the full two and a half hours, from start to finish, look through our calendar for the same program offered at a convenient date and time.
To register, follow these steps:
- Visit The Wright Search instruction page
- If you are a new user, choose Create an account
Returning users choose Log in to your existing account and log in with UID and Campus PIN - In The Wright Search, Choose Career Events tab
- Search for upcoming events (leave blank to see all events for next quarter)
- Select Register
If no Start Smart workshops appear in The Wright Search event listings, then there are no currently scheduled workshops.
To register for currently scheduled workshops, visit your account in The Wright Search
Workshops by Request
Schedule a Special Interest Group Workshop
Career Services schedules Start Smart workshops at the request of faculty, staff, club officers or other group leaders who will arrange participation by 18 or more students.
The design of this program requires students to be present for the entire program period of two and a half hours.
