Welcome to recruitment services for employers. Services available to employers may include:

Regulations governing recruiting and employment practices apply to your interactions with our candidates and you are responsible for compliance.

Submitting an account application to us indicates your agreement to comply in particular with the following policies, procedures, principles, and laws.

We facilitate mutually beneficial relationships between employers, our students and alumni, and our faculty and staff, in order to meet the dynamic needs of today's workplace. Therefore, Wright State University Career Center reviews activity in the database and reserves the right to accept or not accept submissions, and to modify information (such as, but not limited to, Major selections), policies, and procedures, for better service to participating parties. We may restrict access to employer services.

Adherence to NACE Principles for Professional Practice and EEO

Wright State University subscribes to and endorses the Principles for Professional Practice for Employment Professionals prescribed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

Employers and their agents using our services are expected to conform to these principles and applicable Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and related legislation.

Recruitment firms additionally comply with the NACE guidelines outlined within Principles for Third-Party Recruiters

Recruitment Firms must disclose information as follows:

  • Recruiters will disclose to students the name(s) of the client, or clients, that the recruiter is representing and to whom the students' credentials will be disclosed.
  • When deemed necessary, recruiters will disclose information upon request to career services that would enable career services to verify that it is recruiting for a bona fide job opportunity. Information should include contact information for the organization for which the Recruitment Firm is providing recruiting services. The Career Center must respect the confidentiality of this information and may not publish it in any manner.

Department of Labor Compliance

The employer ensures that all job postings are compliant with federal employment laws, as specified by the United States Department of Labor (DOL).

When looking to fill an unpaid internship position, we recommend that employers refer to DOL specifications defining the test for unpaid internships and other relevant features of such jobs.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

In accordance with FERPA, employers and their agents maintain the confidentiality of student information, regardless of the source, including personal knowledge, written records/reports, and computer databases. There will be no disclosure of student information to another organization without the prior written consent of the student, unless necessitated by health and/or safety considerations.

Payment of fees

There is no charge for job postings, but may be fees for events and other services. Employers agree to pay all applicable fees on or before deadlines. Unpaid balances result in restriction of access to services.

Campus Policies and Procedures

Employers and their agents agree to accept and comply with all policies, procedures and professional standards relevant to employer recruitment activities. 

Wright State University reserves the right to refuse services to any employer or employer agent if we determine that the nature of their business is not appropriate for Wright State University students or alumni, or if one or more candidates has expressed a concern that warrants investigation.

Questionable practices or problems involving employers, their agents, and recruiters will be resolved between the parties as quickly as possible. 

Per NACE recommendations, Wright State will:

  • Discuss the incident with all parties involved in the situation.
  • Determine the specifics of the problem.
  • Attempt to resolve the incident among the affected parties.
  • Refer unresolved concerns to the supervisors of the involved individuals or to other appropriate officials.
