NETA Group Exercise Certification: Saturday, September 30, 2017, 8-5 pm
Created for those interested in leading exercise in a group setting, NETA’s Group Exercise Instructor Certification is one of only two in America that have earned NCCA accreditation. Topics include Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology, Components of Fitness, Exercise Class Design and Nutrition. Live workshop includes a full day review. No prior experience required.
NETA Barre Connect Specialty Certification: Sunday, October 1, 2017, 8-5 pm
Learn the fundamentals necessary to design safe and effective multi-level Barre Connect classes. Leave with a deep understanding of the science, technique, and 4 main components behind Barre Connect. Discover how to connect the components of Ballet & Dance Technique, Yoga Postures, Functional Strength Exercises, and Cardiovascular Training to create a FUN, total body workout.
NETA Personal Trainer Certification (2-day workshop): Saturday/Sunday October 28-29, 2017, 8-5:00 pm
Developed for current and aspiring fitness professionals who plan to work in one-on-one and small group settings. Topics include Biomechanics, Anatomy & Physiology, Pre-Health Screening & Fitness Assessment, Nutrition & Weight Management and Exercise Program Design. Live workshop includes two-day review. NCCA Accredited. No prior experience required.
NETA Yoga Foundations Specialty Certification (2-day workshop): Saturday/Sunday, December 2-3, 2017, 8-6 pm
This intensive, two-day Yoga Foundations workshop provides hands-on experience in teaching beginner yoga formats through a breakdown of 20 poses focused on alignment, safety, variations and breathing techniques. In addition to the basics of class formatting, you’ll discuss yoga history through exploration of the 8 limbs, learn the anatomy and physiology of the nervous and respiratory systems, as well as discover ways to encourage and motivate your participants through verbal refinements and inclusive cuing. This certification will provide two sample beginning yoga classes as well as time for practice under the supervision of an experienced yoga teacher. Yoga Foundations is the first required module for NETA’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program but can also be taken as a stand-alone certification.
