Business  >  Undergraduate Students  >  Undergraduate Closed Class Policy

To be listed and considered for registration in a closed class, please contact the academic department which offers the closed class.  Each department will determine which students can be enrolled in a closed class according to the following guidelines.

Students who meet one of the following criteria can put their name on closed class lists:

  • You are graduating that quarter.
  • You are graduating before the class is offered again.
  • You need the class to stay on track in your major.

Students will not be permitted to put their name on closed class lists in the following cases:

  • If other sections of the course are still open.
  • You are registered for another section of the course.
  • If other elective courses are available.

Additional Information:

  • Closed class lists are not available for 200- and 300-level business core classes, unless you are graduating that quarter. Core classes are offered every quarter.
  • Faculty members will not sign students into closed classes.
  • Students dropped from courses because of non-payment of fees – If you do not meet one of the criteria listed in the first section, you will not be permitted to put your name on a closed class list.
