Brief Description


Alpha Kappa Epsilon is an International Business Honor Society organized exclusively for educational,scientific, and charitable purposes. Its main values are:

  • Akereotis - Integrity
  • Kozmopolitizmos - Cosmopolitanism
  • Exerevnitikotis - Adventuresomeness


Mission


To recognize and promote academic achievement, applied scholarship, best practices, and principled professional activity in international business and trade for educational, scientific, and charitable purposes.


Objectives

  • Recognize outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and international business and trade practitioners who exemplify academic or professional excellence in International Business and Trade
  • Encourage quality scholarship, original investigation, and professional service in International Business and Trade
  • Facilitate collaboration between International Business and Trade students, faculty, and practitioners
  • Recognize and promote professional achievement in International Business and Trade


Membership Requirements


Juniors (any major)

  • Complete at least 50% of your degree
  • Complete at least one International Business course
  • Be in the upper one-fourth of your class or have a 3.0 GPA or higher


Seniors (any major)

  • Complete at least 70% of your degree
  • Complete at least two International Business courses
  • Be in the upper one-fourth of your class or have a 3.0 GPA or higher


Graduate students

  • Complete at least one International Business course
  • Be in the upper one-fourth of your class or have a 3.2 GPA or higher


Faculty/Staff

  • Teach courses or conduct research in International Business
  • Promote International Business or Trade endeavors on and off campus


Associate members

  • Demonstrate noteworthy achievement in International Business or Trade


Honorary members

  • Earn a national, international, or widely recognized professional reputation in International Business or Trade

Membership Benefits

  • Network with International Business and Trade faculty and professionals
  • Attend seminars and conferences
  • Participate in social events
  • Stay abreast of International Business trends and practices

Membership Initiation Fees

 

Student and Associate members

  • Initiation fee will be $35

Faculty and Staff members

  • Initiation fee will be $50
