MBA 755 Students Bring Management Expertise to Livvon

Project Overview

Description of the Company:

Livvon Corporation is dedicated to commercializing products that save lives.  Currently, Livvon is developing exterior and restorable airbags that prevent death and injury, and will make them widely available.

Company’s Business Problem:

Livvon Corporation is a start up company looking to revamp and further develop its business plan.

How the student contributed:
The students developed a report on the strengths and weaknesses of the corporation. Based on this assessment, one team further developed plans for manufacturing, inventory, and quality control.  Another team produced analyses of customers needs in the local market for Livvon’s products, product liability insurance and risk reduction strategies, and the researched the size and segmentation of the potential market for truck and bumper airbags worldwide.  Also, students performed research and analyses to help the client further develop the plan’s sections for management team, personnel plans, and helped to polish the financial statement.

Company Value

“The largest benefit gained from the student’s work was the insight the company gained from the spreadsheet of our projected financials and comparisons to other companies in our industry.”

Student Value

“Working on this project webbed together different aspects of the MBA program in order to show how they come together to function in business. It has also instilled in me a newfound confidence in that I know I can now put together a good business plan for myself.”
                          Talmadge Smith

“The project gives a rare opportunity to be able to truly think on your own and solve problems on your own outside of the normal scope of typical problems found in text books.”
