Scholarship Funding Opportunities in the Raj Soin College of Business
Supporting the Next Generation of Ethical Business Leaders
Here are just a few of the scholarship funds available to
Raj Soin College of Business Students. To contribute to any of these
scholarships or establish a new endowed scholarship, please contact Colleen

Alumni Accountancy Scholarships-Available to
part-time accountancy students. This scholarship is designed to foster academic
achievement, professional development, and future alumni involvement. The
scholarship will recognize extracurricular activities, leadership, and
outstanding academic achievement.
Bank One Grant Program-Candidates
must be full-time students majoring in banking related fields; e.g.
accountancy, economics, finance, management, marketing, and information systems
and operations management.
Battelle and Battelle Scholarship-Established to give
financial assistance to accounting majors with demonstrated financial need.
Barnes and Noble Business and Fiscal Affairs Scholarship-Established
to provide encouragement and financial assistance to students who have
demonstrated an interest in a career in college bookstore retail management.
Dr. Sonia Brecha Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund-Recipients
may be full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students in good academic
standing majoring in accountancy.
Brower Insurance Agency Endowed Scholarship-Established
to provide funding to students demonstrating an interest in corporate
insurance, customer service, financial services, sales, marketing, and
communications careers.
Roger Brucker Scholarship for Marketing Enthusiasm-For
marketing graduate students who have clearly demonstrated an ongoing enthusiasm
of pursuing a marketing career and the application of marketing to problem
solving. The award is to be used to offset the cost of tuition, fees, and
required textbooks.
Business Alumni
Associates Scholarship-Awards will be made to graduate or undergraduate
students pursuing studies in the Raj Soin College of Business.
Daniel W.
Duval Endowed Scholarship (Robbins & Myers, Inc.)-Awards are rotated
between the College of Engineering and Computer Science and the Raj Soin
College of Business. The award will first be given to a student in the College of Engineering and Computer Science and will remain with that student until he/she
graduates or becomes ineligible. The scholarship will then be awarded to a Raj
Soin College of Business student based on the same conditions. The award will
alternate indefinitely.
Thomas Dovel Memorial Scholarship Fund-Provide
financial assistance and encouragement to deserving students who intend to
pursue a career in marketing.
Jerry L.
Kirby Fifth Third Bank Scholarship-Candidates must be continuing students
who are pursuing majors in the Raj Soin College of Business and in good
academic standing as determined by Wright State University.
William L. Gans Scholarship-Established to give
financial assistance to students majoring in accounting with demonstrated
financial need.
Gillispie Family Scholarship-Established to support
the efforts of needy African American students wishing to complete their
bachelor's degree from the Raj Soin College of Business.
David S.
Gutridge Business Scholarship-Established to reward students who best
exemplify the ideal qualities the Raj Soin College of Business. These qualities
include being of strong moral character while demonstrating a well-rounded and
sustained work ethic, high academic performance, leadership, and university
and/or community involvement.
Daniel J. Kaufman Memorial Scholarship
(Sally E. Kaufman or Mrs. Daniel J.)-To provide financial assistance
and encouragement to deserving students who intend to pursue a career in
financial services or finance.
Thomas E. Kreusch Family Scholarship-Candidates must
have majors in real estate or finance, a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point
average, and demonstrated financial need.
Rishi
Kumar Endowed Student Scholarship Fund-To encourage and give financial
assistance to students in the Raj Soin College of Business who demonstrate
financial need and a high potential to graduate.
Howard L. Magner Accountancy Scholarship-The annual
income will be used to fund one student who is pursuing a major in the
Accountancy Department.
Steve Mason
Business Scholarship-Established to provide funding for continuing Raj Soin
College of Business students.
Naum Scholarship-One
scholarship will be awarded each year to an outstanding Beavercreek High School senior who plans to major in business at Wright State University.
Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship-First
preference will be given to students intending to pursue a career in public
accounting.
Donald F. Pabst Endowed Scholarship Fund (WSU Accountancy
Dept.)-Recipients may be either full-time senior accountancy majors in good
standing with the university or full-time graduate students enrolled in the
Master of Accountancy Program.
Jacob E. Paperman Scholarship (WSU Accountancy Dept.)-Recipients
must be senior accountancy majors in good academic standing as determined by Wright State University.
Denny
and Sharon Phillips Scholarship Fund-Established for Fairborn High School students pursuing a major in the Raj Soin College of Business.
Scitex Endowed
Scholarship (Scitex Digital Printing, Inc.)-Applicants will be full-time,
continuing, undergraduate students pursuing majors within the Raj Soin College
of Business.
The JoAnn Self Memorial Scholarship-Candidates may be
either graduate or undergraduate students in good academic standing as
determined by Wright State University.
Shumsky Enterprises Scholarship-For juniors or
seniors majoring in marketing.
Brian Skelton Scholarship for Business and Communications-For
a Wright State University student majoring in either communications in the College of Liberal Arts or in a business field within the Raj Soin College of Business.
Barbara K. Stickney Scholarship and Professor Frank A.
Stickney Scholarships-For junior and senior management majors.
Sharon K. Sutton Memorial Scholarship (Jerome P. Sutton)-For
a non-traditional female student who has made consistent progress toward a
bachelor's degree for at least two consecutive quarters prior to selection.
Recipients must demonstrate financial need and have a 3.0 or higher cumulative
grade point average.
Thomas D. Weeda Memorial Scholarship-For students who
have declared accountancy as their major, and have a grade point average of
3.0, documented financial need, good academic standing at Wright State University, and met the requirements for admission into the Raj Soin College of Business.
WSU Finance Club Scholarship-Candidates must be full-
or part-time continuing students who are members of the Finance Club and in good
academic standing as determined by Wright State University.
William J. Kane Scholarship: This scholarship may be used to defray tuition, or
subsidize internships. Qualifications include:

Finance Scholarship: This
scholarship may be used to defray tuition, or subsidize internships.

The Peggy Rike
Scholarship--Awarded each year to a full-time continuing undergraduate
marketing major who in the opinion of the majority of the marketing faculty, has
clearly demonstrated outstanding accomplishment in the areas of scholarship,
leadership and/or community service and has a verifiable interest in a career in
retailing.
The
WSU Collegiate Spirit Scholarship--Awarded
each year to a continuing marketing major who, in the opinion
of the marketing faculty, has demonstrated strong scholarship and leadership,
and has a strong interest in sports marketing, brand management, or retailing.
Because this scholarship was established by the Licensing Advisory Committee,
the recipient would be required to become a member of this committee, and
expected to attend the annual retail reception in December.
The
Marketing Scholarship for International Education--Awarded each year to
a marketing major from a country other than the
United States, who, in the opinion of the marketing faculty, has a demonstrated
financial need. The recipient should be beginning his/her senior year during the
next fall quarter or be an MBA student.
Norman K. Hanselmann Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to all Business major
students
