Beginning June 2012, the Division of Business and Finance embarked upon the realignment of Divisional departments and units to streamline workflow and promote communication and action. The Division fosters a culture of empowerment and innovation using a bottom-up approach to strengthen organizational identity and refocus mission, vision, and commitment to service.
Each of the four major units in the Division of Business and Finance engaged in a dialogue of Appreciative Inquiry within their ranks and across stakeholder groups, surfacing themes of identity, factors that enable excellence, and areas of opportunity.
The results are a highly engaged workforce with employees at all levels participating in continuous improvement activities and working toward sustained excellence. Action team information can be viewed on each unit’s Innovation and Learning page.
