Our faculty use a wide range of tools to investigate questions at several levels of organization. the diverse faculty interestes provide students with research and educational opportunities in three broad areas of excellence. While some faculty worrk primarily within one of these areas many use similar approches or have overlapping interests, leading to productive collaborations among these three groups and other disciplines, such as chemistry, earth sciencese, and physics.
