EXERCISE BIOLOGY OPTION
One of the B.S. programs in Biological Sciences is Exercise Biology. This track is appropriate for students who desire a strong preparation in human biology and preparation for a career in a variety of heath fields. Students who graduated from the BS program entered professional schools in physical therapy, medical school, dental school, nursing, cardiac rehabilitation, audiology, and various programs in hospitals. In addition, students are well prepared to enter graduate school to continue their education.
The M.S. program in Exercise Physiology is appropriate for students who wish to continue their education in human biology through focused study in physiology, exercise physiology, health & wellness, and applied research. Several students coming into the program with undergraduate medical degrees from universities outside the US successfully enter residency programs. Other students have entered medical school and doctoral programs at major institutions.
The Exercise Biology Laboratory is the central teaching/research laboratory that includes facilities, equipment, space, and technology for study and research, including extensive cardiopulmonary, body composition, and chemical assessments.
