Applied Physiology Concentration

Applied Physiology consists of three major areas of study: exercise physiology, human motor behavior, and human biomechanics.  This option integrates classroom and practical applications of applied physiologyto prepare students in the latest American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) objectives for comprehensive knowledge of physical performance, fitness, health/wellness, and research.  The curriculum meets all prerequisites for post-graduate study of physical therapy.  Outcomes of study include the opportunity to take the ACSM and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certification exams.
