Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences (Bioinformatics Option)

The bioinformatics track prepares students to assist in the application and development of computational tools and approaches used to acquire, store, organize, archive, analyze, and visualize dramatically increasing amounts of publicly available biological data.  Students completing the program obtain a major in biological sciences and a minor in computer sciences as they develop an appreciation for the substantially different vocabulary and problem solving approaches used in both disciplines.
