Option One

One course in scientific writing: BIO 608, ENG 533, 600, or 602.

Complete a minimum of 45 quarter credits. At least 30 hrs must be at the 600-800 level in life science related fields.

Be registered in the quarter of thesis defense/oral exam.

Maintain a 3.0 cumulative average with no more that 9 cr hrs of "C" grades applying to degree.

4 graduate seminars, 3 of which must be in the department (BIO800).

Program of Study on file with Graduate Studies and the Biology Department by the beginning of the 3rd quarter for full-time students or by 18 hrs for part-time students.

Thesis proposal approved by end of 3rd quarter and filed with graduate advisor.
