Master of Science in Biological Sciences
Option One

One course in scientific writing: BIO 6080, ENG 5330, 6000, or 6020.

Complete a minimum of 30 semester hours. At least 20 hrs must be at the 6000-8000 level in life science related fields.

Be registered in the semester of thesis defense/oral exam.

Maintain a 3.0 cumulative average with no more that 6 cr hrs of "C" grades applying to degree.

3 graduate seminars, 2 of which must be in the department (BIO8000).

Program of Study on file with Graduate Studies and the Biology Department by the beginning of the 2nd quarter for full-time students or by 12 hrs for part-time students.

Thesis proposal approved by end of 2nd semester and filed with graduate advisor.
