Retention Rates (First-time, Full-Time, Degree Seeking Freshmen, Main Campus)

bullet For students who entered Fall 2005, the retention rate was 68%, decreasing slightly
from the previous year.
bullet As for Male and Female students, the retention rate has been slightly higher for females
over the past few years with the roles reversing the past two years. Males had a retention rate of 69%
where as the women had a 67% retention rate.
bullet African American students had a retention rate for the Fall 2005 cohort group of 62%.

Graduation Rates (First-time, Full-Time, Degree Seeking Freshmen, Main Campus)

bullet The six-year graduation rate for the 2000 cohort group increased to 44%, rising 4% from the previous
years.
bullet The graduation rate for African American students is generally lower than the overall rate,
but remains close at 37% for the 2000 cohort group.

Grade Point Averages (All students)

bullet Undergraduate grade point averages have increased slightly from 2.902 in 2003 to 2.929
in 2007.
