ARTSGALA Alumni Testimonials
Blaine currently works in Seattle at the 5th Avenue Theatre, the city’s biggest musical theatre producing organization. Blaine has instantly made a name for himself there as a strong singer and dancer. He is about to start rehearsals for Elf: The Musical, and his future plans include a move to NYC.
"I would not be where I am today–doing what I am doing today— if it wasn't for the teachers and the program at Wright State."
Nichole lives in Urbana, Ohio and is enjoying her work as a substitute teacher in Champaign, Clark, and Madison counties while continually pursuing her dream job in music education.
"Receiving the ARTSGALA Scholarship was unexpected honor. I am truly grateful for the support of the music department and faculty along with the College of Liberal Arts. The scholarship has blessed me in more ways than I could have imagined. Thank you so much to the donors who make these ARTSGALA Scholarships possible for so many!"
Since graduating, Stephanie has taught painting and drawing at Stivers School for the Arts; volunteered with K-12 Gallery for Young People and BlueSky Project of Dayton; and given private art lessons to children of military families. She is currently building a portfolio to prepare her for graduate school.
"The ARTSGALA scholarship program is a great opportunity for WSU students to engage in their talents and worry a little less about financial troubles. By receiving my ARTSGALA scholarship my senior year, I was able to focus more energy and creative mind to my studio work. I am very thankful for ARTSGALA. I can't wait to attend and give back."

They were respectful, appreciative of WSU's strong arts faculty and programs, and gracious about being ARTSGALA scholarship recipients.
