CALL FOR ENTRIES
“Constructed Territory,” a juried exhibition of work integrating the use of maps, cartography, or environmental and topographical explorations.
Eligibility
Open to all U.S. artists 18 years of age and older. Open to all media, including installation (gallery floor plans).
Awards
Accepted artists will receive a nominal stipend to assist with packing/shipping expenses.
Curator
Tracy Longley-Cook is an Assistant Professor of photography at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her M.F.A. from Arizona State University in the spring of 2007, and received her B.F.A. from the University of Washington in 1997. She has exhibited and published her work internationally.
To Apply
Please submit the following:
1. Artist resume (up to 2 pages) that includes current mailing address, phone, and email
2. Artist statement
3. Image list with thumbnails of works, include media, year, title, and dimensions
4. CD-ROM including up to 5 digital images
5. Mail applications to:

No fee to apply, however artists will be responsible for round-trip shipping of works.
Submitted materials will only be returned if sufficient SASE is provided.
CD-ROM Submissions:
• Images should be JPEG format only
• One CD only for all images
• Longest-side image dimension should not exceed 1500 pixels
• Save each image as name of artist and number of work i.e. (Smith_01, Smith_02 etc.); order of images on the CD should match the image list order
• Label the CD with artist's name
• Orient all images properly (top of image up)
• For 3-dimensional work, submit 2 images showing alternate views
• Do not submit slide shows, flash files, psp files, etc.
Accepted Works
Accepted applicants will be notified the week of June 1, 2010.
Liability Terms
Artists are responsible for insuring the accepted artworks during transit. Exhibit works will be insured through the Inter-University Council Insurance Consortium while on premises.
The Robert & Elaine Stein Galleries reserves the right to reproduce accepted works for publicity purposes.
