Ranger Challenge

Each Army ROTC program fields a Ranger Challenge team, which will compete against the other ROTC programs within their regionally-aligned brigades. The winning team from each Brigade will then compete against the other brigade winners. The WSU Ranger Challenge team trains primarily during the Fall semester in preparation for their brigade-level competition held at Fort Knox, Kentucky. The competition involves overcoming numerous physically and mentally demanding challenges as a team. Cadets must be academically strong, physically fit, and mentally resilient to earn a spot on the Ranger Challenge team roster, as each participant's attributes will be challenged during the competition, both independently and as part of a team. Earning a spot on the Ranger Challenge team is a considerable achievement within our program and reflects the hard work and effort of each team member.

Color Guard

The Raider Battalion Color Guard has the honor of representing the Army ROTC program and presenting the colors at the Wright State campus and community events. The Color Guard is expected to maintain proper military bearing and a sharp appearance when representing the Raider Battalion at community events.

Cadet-Ran Sports Teams

Within the Raider Battalion, there are opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. Through the years Cadets have assembled various sports teams to participate in throughout the semester. These teams have included Indoor Soccer, Basketball, and Lacrosse. No prior experience is required to participate because the cadets are there to have fun and build friendships.
