Asian/Hispanic/Native American Center
AHNA, the newest cultural center at Wright State, was created to support
the academic, social, and cultural needs of Asian, Hispanic, and Native
American students, faculty, and staff at the university. It serves as an
informational resource center and creates an appreciation and understanding
of the diverse Asian, Hispanic, and Native American cultures represented
within the community. It plays a vital role in serving as a cultural liaison
to the university and Dayton communities. The center provides special programs,
such as workshops, newsletters, heritage month activities, cultural events,
film series, and leadership programs. It also works collaboratively with
the Bolinga Cultural Resource Center and Women's Center to co-sponsor common
programs featuring the uniqueness and commonalties among the three centers.
Library materials on Asian/Hispanic/Native American cultures and an Advisory
Board are available to both students and faculty/staff to increase knowledge
and understanding about the three diverse cultures.
