Multicultural Centers
At Wright State, diversity is a commitment, a bond that ties the university community together. Since the university's founding in the 1960s, we have cultivated an intellectual, cultural, and social environment where personal dignity and respect for the individual are recognized.

Asian/Hispanic/Native American Center (AHNA)
AHNA was created to support the academic, social, and cultural needs of Asian, Hispanic, and Native American students, faculty, and staff at the university. The center serves as an informational resource center and creates an appreciation and understanding of the diverse Asian, Hispanic, and Native American cultures represented within the community. It plays a vital role in serving as a cultural liasion to the university and surrouding Dayton region communities.
The AHNA Center also provides special programs, such as workshops, newsletters, heritage month activities, cultural events, film series, and leadership programs. The center works collaboratively with the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center (Bolinga Center) and Women's Center to co-sponsor common programs featuring the uniqueness and commonalities among the three centers.
Library materials on Asian/Hispanic/Native American cultures and an advisory board are available to both students and faculty/staff to increase knowledge and understanding about the three diverse cultures.

The Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center (Bolinga Center) provides a variety of special programs, activities, and student services that celebrate individual cultural identity while fostering lasting friendships among all groups of people. The Bolinga Center began as a tribute to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The word bolinga means love in Lingala, an African language. The Bolinga Center functions as an advocate for academic, cultural, and personal concerns of Wright State's African American students. Cultural and educational programs include a Minority Speakers Series, Community Speakers Series, and an Educational Film/Video Series.
