Who's Eligible
To be eligible to receive
federal student aid
, you must:
Have a high school diploma, GED or high school education in a home school setting.
Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student working toward a degree or certification.
Be a U.S. citizen or
eligible noncitizen
.
Have a valid Social Security Number.
Certify that you will use federal student aid for educational purposes.
Certify that you are not in default on a federal student loan and that you do not you owe money on a federal student grant.
Be registered with the Selective Service, if required.
