Information
| WSURA Benefits You may receive a copy of the Retiree Booklet by contacting the Retirees Office or Human Resources. The following WSU benefits are available to all WSURA members: Instructional Fee WaiverEligibility for the instructional fee waiver is determined
by the status of the employee on the first day of the applicable term. Athletics and student performancesThe retiree is urged to support our students by attending intercollegiate sports events and music/drama/dance performances. The retiree will be offered the same ticketing arrangements and prices available to current full-time faculty/staff. BookstoreThe retiree can obtain a 20% discount on WSU clothing and gift items, school supplies and general reading books by showing the cashier his or her Wright 1 Card. ParkingFree parking is available in all visitor's lots (currently next to the Student Union [Lot 2] and Allyn Hall [Lot 9] ). Upon exiting the lot the Wright 1 Retiree ID card must be shown. Retirees may also park in lots near the Nutter Center (does not include event parking). If parking spaces are not available in the visitors-parking lots, retirees should see the attendant who will direct them to space nearby. Student UnionRetirees may join the Fitness Center under the same terms as full time employees. At the present time the retiree will be able to get a free membership and only pay $75 per year for a family membership. This membership entitles two retirees (buddy sessions) to use the services of a trainer for slightly more than 58% of the normal cost. Retirees shall have free use of open recreational facilities (Racquetball/Squash Courts and Swimming Pool) and the standard staff/faculty rates on all activities that are fee based. Retirees have the opportunity of early reservations to purchase table reservations for the Madrigal Dinner. Retirees may use the Student Union facilities for private functions and should talk to the staff to secure a retiree discount. WorkshopsRetirees may attend workshops (CaTS and Teaching and Learning Center) on a space available basis for the same fee (if any) charged current faculty and staff. Campus-wide PublicationsRetirees are encouraged to keep informed by reading the various campus-wide publications presently available on-line. University/school/department ConnectionsOnce retired, individuals are encouraged to continue active participation in the university community and may attend all appropriate public meetings on a non-voting basis. Individuals with continued active involvement with students or administration may wish to request listing in the university telephone directory and other informational sources. Library and Computer PrivilegesRetirees will have full library privileges and may continue to have Wright State University email access upon retirement. To obtain these services, send a written request to Accounts Manager c/o CaTS Help Desk, 025 Library Annex. All retirees are encouraged to join the Friends of the Libraries. Purchase of Computer Hardware and SoftwareRetirees may have an opportunity to purchase software and hardware at a university discount, depending on various contractual arrangements in effect with different vendors. Please contact the Director, Computing & Telecommunications Services, for details.
