Recent Items:

At its June 2 meeting, Senate approved the adoption of the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) exam; the Vision Statement, Mission Statement and Values and Goals of the Strategic Plan; and a Policy on Significant Changes to Academic Units.

At its May 5 meeting, Senate approved the Policies and Procedures for Promotion to Senior Lecturer and the Transitional Provision for College Senior Lecturer Promotion Committee documents.  Both document are effective beginning June 2, 2008.

Senate Executive Committees for both the 2007-08 and 2008-09 academic years have recently met with the goal of setting committee membership for next year.  Please check the "Committees" link at the left for the most recent assignments.

Executive Committee created an ad hoc committee to study calendar issues.

The Faculty Handbook was updated to include changes to Faculty Awards.
