Crime Prevention Unit

Awareness, Avoidance and Risk Reduction are 90% of crime prevention.

The Wright State Police Department maintains a Crime Prevention Unit designed to reduce incidents of crime.

The Crime Prevention Unit coordinates a Campus Watch, Residence Hall Watch, and Office Watch Programs. The "watches" receive one hour of basic training and meet once a month to pass on the latest crime prevention techniques. The "watches" are the eyes and ears of the Police.

In addition, the Crime Prevention Unit operates a 24-hour escort service (Students for Safe Escorts), Operation ID, and offers a variety of programs such as personal safety, sexual assault prevention, drug and alcohol prevention and other related topics.

The Crime Prevention Office can be reached at (937) 775-2497.
