Welcome to Wright State University. It was a community initiative that brought our university into existence 40 years ago. Today, we exist to serve that community—you. Whether you are a high school student ready to pursue higher education or a small business looking for start-up help, we are here to make a difference in your life.

Wright State has long been known and admired as a good partner. Our commitment to health care, government, business and industry, and quality education at every level, is making a difference in the lives of people in the Miami Valley region and throughout Ohio. Our students are actively engaged in learning experiences that collaborate with community members. They leave Wright State with real-world experience, well prepared to excel in the 21st century. Half of our nearly 72,000 alumni stay in the area, bringing Wright State into the community through every aspect of their lives. And our Centers of Excellence provide opportunity for economic growth through research and innovation that generates jobs. Our more than 700 faculty and 2,000 staff are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people in the Dayton region.

Our campus has experienced a marvelous transformation over the years, thanks in large part to our close and supportive partners. Our state-of-the-art facilities are receiving national attention and recognition. I hope you will visit campus in person to see what we offer in both academics and extracurricular activities. The thousands of students who live on campus can tell you all about the new residence halls, food court, and fitness center.
