Resident Student Parking Permits

A student who is a resident is not permitted to purchase a commuter "C" permit.

  1. A student who is resident may purchase a parking permit for his/her respective community lot. However, a residential community lot permit is sold subject to parking space availability for each residential community. Park & ride Lot 20 is available for a resident who is unable to purchase a permit for his/her respective community lot.
    1. Forest Lane (L) Lot FL. A Forest Lane resident may purchase a permit valid in the Forest Lane Community Lot FL. If a legal parking space is unavailable in Lot FL, a Forest Lane permit holder may use the white lined commuter spaces in Lot 4.*
    2. The Village (V) Lot V. A resident of The Village may purchase a permit valid in Lot V and C parking spaces. If a legal parking space is unavailable in Lot V, a permit holder may use the white lined commuter spaces in any parking lot.
    3. College Park (P) Lot P. A resident of College Park may purchase a permit valid in Lot P.*
    4. University Park(U) Lot U. A resident of University park may purchase a permit in Lot U.*
    5. Hamilton Hall (H) Lot 4 white lined spaces. Permits for the residents of Hamilton Hall are sold to second year or greater students. Areas of Lot 4 or a specific area may be specified by signs. *
    6. The Woods (W) Lot. W. Permits for the residents of The Woods are sold to second year or greater students. If a legal parking space is unavailable in Lot W, a permit holder may park in the white lined commuter spaces in Lot 4 or in park & ride Lot 20*
    7. The Honors Dorm (D) Lot D. Permits for the residents of The Honors Dorm are sold to second year or greater students. If a legal parking space is unavailable in Lot D a permit holder may park in the white lined commuter spaces in Lot 4 or in park & ride Lot 20.*
    * A resident with a permit for his/her respective community lot may park in any faculty/staff, commuter student, or unspecified reserved spaces from 4 pm until 6 am, Monday through Friday, and on Saturday and Sunday.

    A first-year resident of The Woods, Honors Dorm and Hamilton Hall is assigned to park & ride Lot 20 and may purchase a park & ride parking permit valid in park & ride lot 20 and Nutter Center Lots 7 and 8. Open parking is available (at WSU Dayton Campus in faculty/staff, commuter student, and visitor lots) after 4:00 pm on Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Please refer to the Park & Ride Parking Permit Section which provides information about shuttle service to and from park & ride Lot 20.
  2. Fees for resident parking permits are: annual, $85; fall/winter/spring quarters, $67; single quarter, $24; weekly, $2.50; daily, $1.25.
  3. Fees for park & ride parking permits are: fall/winter/spring quarters, $15; fall/winter or winter/spring quarters, $10; single quarter, $5.
  4. Guest parking is available in Visitor, Lots 2 or 9, from 8 am until 10 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 8am until 4pm on Friday. The fee is $1.00 per hour. Guest permits for visitors staying overnight or after 8pm must be purchased at the Parking and Transportation Department, from 8:30 am until 5 pm, Monday through Thursday, 4:30 pm, on Friday. Residents may purchase Visitor permits that are valid in commuter student Lot 4. Open parking is available for guests in the upper lots of the Dayton Campus (faculty/staff, commuter student, and visitor lots) after 4pm on Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
  5. Residential community permits are valid in unspecified Nutter Center Lots 1 through 9. Remote permits are valid in Nutter Center Lots 7 and 8. Residential and park & ride permits are not valid in Nutter Center lots during scheduled events.
