Position Summary: To participate in clinical care of
vascular surgery patients, teaching of medical students and surgery residents
and appropriate academic/scholarly activities.
Education and Experience:
Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program or completion of
the number of years specified to enter a Vascular Surgery Residency Program;
Completion of an accredited Vascular Surgery Residency Program with demonstrated
competence in endovascular surgery. License to practice medicine in Ohio;
Ability to obtain malpractice insurance; Certification or eligibility for
certification by the American Board of Surgery*; Certification or eligibility
for certification by the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of
Surgery; *Vascular Surgery Training completed after July 1, 2006, certification
by the American Board of Surgery in addition to certification by the Vascular
Surgery Board of the ABS may not be required; Assistant Professor level
candidates must meet required minimum job qualification requirements;
Associate Professor level candidates must meet required minimum job
qualifications, be Board Certified by the Vascular Surgery Board of the American
Board of Surgery and have at least 3 years experience at the Assistant Professor
level.

opportunity for an academic vascular surgeon to join a growing department with
leadership potential. This position is based at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Note: Position is annually renewable. Special Contract

Position Description:
Serve as a vascular surgeon, providing patient care,
including clinics and staff services(s) in the Department of Surgery at Good
Samaritan Hospital.
Participate actively in the teaching and supervision of
surgery residents and medical students.
Contribute significantly to the academic/research mission
of the Department of Surgery with scholarly activities such as submission to
peer reviewed journals, presentation at local, regional, and national surgical
societies as well as membership in surgical organiziations.
