Position Summary:   Lead and manage the Master of public Health program, as well as conduct grant funded research.

Education and Experience:    M.D. or D.O., Ph.D., or DrPH; education in field involving public health and/or population-based medicine; education in clinical specialty including board certification if MD or DO with current Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain an Ohio medical license to practice medicine; ability to lead a public health education program, to teach public health, to manage a multi-disciplinary teaching faculty, and to conduct research in public health; ability to work in a collaborative, multi-organizational academic setting, and to work independently; 5 years minimum experience working in public or private sector in broad area of public health, population health, or related field; experience or interest in the teaching of public health; experience and interest in research in public health; must be interested in teaching and leading faculty in teaching the principles of public health to medical and MPH students; must be interested in providing public health service to the community; to be considered as full professor, the candidate must have documented evidence of sustained and high performance that is recognized by peers in his/her field at the national level (publications, presentations, nationally recognized expertise, or awarding of grants).

Preferred: MPH, MSPH; additional education in population-based health; interest in ongoing clinical patient care practice if MD or DO.

Length of Appointment: One year contract with continuation dependent upon funding. Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. 


Position Description:  

Program Director: Master of Public Health Program. Lead and manage MPH program, responsible for admissions, curriculum, CEPH accreditation, and student issues.

Course Director: Director of one of the core courses in the MPH program, preferably "Health Systems Management" or "Introduction to Public Health" and supervision of MPH culminating experience.

Research: Conduct grant funded research in public health, population based health, health policy, or preventive medicine. Participate in the research activities of the Center for Global Health Systems, Management and Policy.

Participate in educational and service activities of the Center for Global Health Systems, Management and Policy.
