Position Summary: To teach medical students, residents and fellows nephrology and nephrology procedures. To participate in basic and/or translational research and write grants. To perform direct patient care in the renal section at the Dayton VAMC. Education and Experience: M.D. degree; experience in clinical nephrology. Board certified or eligible in nephrology and willing to pursue a physician scientist career within the VAMC. The Assistant Professor level requires board certification in Medicine and experience teaching at the graduate level. The Associate Professor level requires board certification in Medicine and ability to perform scholarly functions including supervisory responsibility. Academic rank and salary will be dependent on qualifications. Position Description: Basic and/or translational research and writing grants for research funds; independent research projects. Direct patient care in the renal section at the Dayton VAMC. Teach medical residents and students at the WSU Boonshoft School of Medicine.
