Education and Experience:   Master's degree in nursing, experience in at least two or more clinical areas, and be eligible for Ohio RN licensure.

Preferred:  Master's degree in nursing with a clinical specialty area and teaching experience in a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing program. To be considered for the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, candidate must meet criteria for promotion to that rank.

Length of Appointment: Three years


Position Description:  

Provide competent teaching demonstrated through articulation of the practice-theory relationship, incorporation of research into clinical practice, use of sound teaching-learning theory and techniques, and constructive evaluation. Utilize creative and varied teaching strategies. Serve as a clinical role model and teaching clinician in specialty areas of nursing. Facilitate a positive, collaborative learning climate for students, including valuing of diversity, integrity, accountability, and ethical and professional behavior among students.

Serve on college committees and community and professional organizations.

Pursue scholarly activity to maintain clinical expertise.
