Education and Experience: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, demonstrated research expertise in Environmental Chemistry (Assistant or Associate ranks); a record of publications and external funding demonstrating a sustained quality research program with a national reputation for excellence (Associate rank only). Preferred: Additional background in Biochemistry, Analytical, or Physical Chemistry. Working Conditions: Occasional exposure to chemical vapors, liquids and solids which may possess hazardous properties.
Position Description: Teach Freshman, Environmental, Analytical, Physical and/or Biochemistry courses offered by the Chemistry Department and organize and supervise associated teaching labs. Direct undergraduate an undergraduate level research in Environmental Chemistry, write and submit research proposals seeking external research funding, publish and present research papers in peer reviewed journals and at scientific meetings. Perform professional service as the departmental, local and national levels.
