What are my options for meal plans? |
Is the required $650 Resident Meal Plan enough for all meals and snacks throughout a quarter? |
Probably not. Most students will need additional funds. That only equates to approximately $8.00 per day. If you need to add value to your card, you should purchase one of the Value Plan$. |
How much will I need to add to my Wright1 Card to ensure I have enough money for food? |
Each student is different. You need to consider appetite, food preferences, meal frequency and eating patterns. All of these factors contribute to the need for additional funds. |
Why should I buy one of the Value Plan$ and not just pay cash for all meals and snacks? |
Convenience, quick service and FREE Dollar$! Purchase one of the Value Plan$, and you will receive 7% more value than you paid! Also, guests are processed at the register much more quickly - no need to hunt for cash or search for change - just swipe and go! |
How do I purchase one of the Value Plan$? |
One way is to follow the link in
the upper right-hand corner of this page, that reads
"Buy a value plan now". To purchase a plan contact the Office of the Bursar, located in E236 Student Union. For your convenience, they accept cash
or checks. To pay online with a credit card, visit WINGS. |
How do I access/use my Resident Meal Plan account? |
After making your food purchase decisions in any dining facility on campus, simply hand your Wright 1 Card to the cashier, and the exact amount of your purchases will be deducted from your Resident Meal Plan or Value Plan account. It's that simple! |

Where can I get "traditional, homestyle" meals with fresh vegetables? |
Union Market offers guests Chef's Kitchen. You can select from daily entrées like, Rotisserie style chicken, Meat loaf, Carved ham, turkey, beef or pork and add a great side dish like, fresh green beans, carrots and peas, garlic mashed potatoes or broccoli cheese casserole. |
How can I view the balance of my Resident Meal Plan or Value Plan account? |
There are two ways to check:
1) Your remaining account balance is printed at the bottom of every receipt, provided to you with each purchase; 2) Simply ask a cashier for a "balance inquiry" at any register, no purchase necessary

As a resident, what do I do if I want to have my Resident Meal Plan reduced? |
The majority of our students are able to use all of their Dining Dollar$ each quarter. Wright State's plan is the lowest plan in the state for state-supported universities. However, you may request a reduction by obtaining a Meal Plan Release/Reduction Request Form through the Dining Services' main office in W006 Student Union. The Director of Business Services will evaluate all requests, and you will be notified in writing of the final decision. Plan reductions require a medical excuse, with documentation from your doctor. Keep in mind, until you are notified, you remain financially responsible for your contracted Resident Meal Plan account agreement. |

Do you have employment opportunities for students? |
