Campus Master Plan

The Master Plan

The Campus Master Plan outlines long-term strategies for the continuing development of entire WSU campus. For purposes of clarity and ease of implementation, improvements are organized under project headings shown on the plan drawing. More detailed descriptions of the work proposed for each project area are presented on subsequent pages.

Accompanying the descriptions are priority recommendations and estimates of the total cost of each project (more detailed cost estimates are contained in Appendix C). The University has earmarked $9 million in capital funds for implementation of campus improvements over the next three biennia. While this amount will not cover the cost of all of the projects recommended by the Campus Master Plan, it should be sufficient to make the improvements recommended for the core campus. It is therefore recommended that the $9 million be allotted to projects on the basis of priority ranking, supplemented by such other funds as the administration may see fit to raise or designate for the purpose. Any projects not funded at the end of the third biennium should be reevaluated and included in subsequent capital budgets as appropriate.
