Underground Storage Tanks

Wright State University operates several underground storage tanks on campus for heating purposes as well as for fueling vehicles. 

EHS works with the departments that operate these tanks to reduce the risk of an accidental release of tank product and to comply with applicable UST rules and regulations.  Most tanks are regulated by the State Fire Marshal’s Bureau of Underground Storage Tanks Regulations (BUSTR) and those tanks that are not are managed in accordance with the same management principles outlined in the BUSTR rules.
