Billboards
Billboards are used to communicate quick messages, images, or vital information about an event. They can provide a first
impression of Wright State University to on-campus visitors, so guidelines have been provided to ensure that on-campus
billboards provide clear, positive messages.
Drivers passing by billboards usually have only a few seconds to read the entire message; therefore, the amount of copy should be kept to a minimum. Be brief use the what, when, and where format. If visual graphics are to be used, they should also be kept simple for higher visability and recognition. All billboard designs should either be designed or reviewed by the Office of Communications and Marketing before taken to the Sign Shop for production. Billboards that promote Wright State University as an institution or a department or program within should adhere to color standards in order to achieve maximum consistency and visual impact. The Sign Shop requires 10 days to complete a billboard request. They will install and remove all billboards and can store your billboards upon request. Billboard space can be reserved by calling the Student Union Administrative Office.
