Non-English Words

• Commonly used Latin words, such as "vice versa," are not italicized.

• Foreign words are italicized unless they have been fully naturalized.

• Italicize in vivo and in vitro.

• Genus and species names should be italicized. Also, genus names are capitalized and species names are lowercased.
