Ms. Aishah Simmons, filmmaker and activist, is the founder and president of AfroLezE Productions. Her internationally acclaimed shorts "Silence Broken," "In My Father's House," and "No! (A Work in Progress)" explore the issues of race, gender, homophobia, rape and misogyny.

Colonel Guion "Guy" Bluford, Jr.

Col. Guion "Guy" Bluford, Jr., a native of Philadelphia, PA, was the first African American astronaut. Dr. Bluford holds bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering. Upon retiring from NASA in 1993, he had logged over 688 hours in space. He was inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame in 1997.
