Memoranda of Understanding

On this page we provide links to various agreements (typically called Memoranda of Understanding -- MOU for short) that supplement our Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Some such MOUs eventually become part of the CBA proper.

July 7, 2009 Agreement Concerning a Semester Calendar specifies that semesters will feature fourteen weeks of instruction (almost exactly 70 instructional days) and that standard class lengths will be 55 minutes for M-W-F classes (80 minutes for T-Th classes)
July 7, 2009 Agreement Concerning Participation in the Employee Severance Plan permits the administration to offer its severance plan to Bargaining Unit Faculty; provides certain protections for Bargaining Unit Faculty who participate in the plan
April 3, 2009 Agreement Concerning Grant Support, Administrative Assignments, and Summer Teaching applies only to Bargaining Unit Faculty on academic year appointments who either ask to teach summer classes or accept administrative duties in the summer for which they receive compensation
March 2, 2009 Memo of Understanding Concerning Workload and Conversion to Semesters outlines shared objectives for the anticipated conversion to semesters; provides for binding external arbitration if needed
October, 2007 WSU Faculty Requests to Purchase Non-Standard Computer Equipment provides a means to obtain computers other than those recommended by CaTS and to require CaTS to provide support for such computers
