Our Philosophy

We support the current pedagogy adopted by the Wright State University Writing Programs Committee, namely that writing is a process; writing is itself a way of thinking; and therefore, writers need to talk about their work with other writers in order to engage thoughtfully in the writing process.

Though we recognize the collaborative nature of the writing process, we also respect each writer's autonomy. We recognize that writers need to maintain ultimate authority over and responsibility for their own writing, especially in an academic setting.
